Originally formed back in 2007 as a duo side-project between Mark Penington (Caravans) and Mark Sprex (Rhumba Kings) the band recorded one mini album and one full-length album (both self-released) during 2007-2008 joined by Sam Penington as studio drummer and Thomas Lorioux (Kings Of Nuthin', Frantic Flintstones etc) as touring bassist.

The band enjoyed quick but short success touring all over Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg for a couple of years (2007-2009)

Sadly busy schedules, logistics and general everyday life brought closure for the next 17 years .. But .. in the Winter of 2024 something happened!

A casual chat between the two Marks (who have always humorously referred to each other as M1 and M2) sparked a fire which quickly ignited into the re-formation and new chapter of the 'Slum Dogs' story.

Re-grouping with Thomas during a day off from his extensive 'Heathen Apostles' European tour, and joined by new band member Craig Boyd (Green Hornets) the band became a 4-piece and they hit the studio in July 2025 to record new studio demos for their brand-new up-coming album.

Now fully-charged and ready to burn up the dirt tracks and winding roads of rock n roll adventure once again ..

All done in their signature rockabilly-hillbilly-folk/punk-gypsy flavoured-60's garage/pop infused rock n roll finely-tuned mix .. Which will please the ears and feet of anybody with a good taste for good times!

See you on the road!
